Knitting Class: Cozy Mittens!
Join us for two Saturday morning sessions (December 7 & 14) at Black Sheep Craft Shop from 10am-12pm and learn to knit your own mittens just in time for cooler weather!
CLASS FEE INCLUDES
- 2 60-minute small group class sessions
- Yarn for your project (options sent via e-mail fter registration)
- 10% off required knitting needles
REQUIRED ITEMS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE SEPARATELY IF NEEDED:
- Size 7 Double Pointed (DPN) Needles
- Scissors (also available to borrow in class)
- Tapestry needle (also available to borrow in class)
PREREQUISITE SKILLS/AGE LEVEL
All kids are different but as a general guideline this class is appropriate for ages 12 and older. Students should have basic knowledge of casting on, knit stitch, and purl stitch before registering for this class. Previous experience knitting in the round or with double pointed needles is helpful but not necessary.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Deb Cronin, Ph.D., is a psychology professor at Drake, where she teaches & studies visual attention and its relation to processing and memory. If that's not enough, she also fosters kittens and her knitting wins blue ribbons at the fair!
