PREORDER: Project Hail Mary Cardigan KAL Yarn Bundle (Pattern & Needles Sold Separately)

This spring we're just a little obsessed with Project Hail Mary and have fallen in love with both book and movie versions of the heartwarming space buddy dramedy. And we (along with everyone else) have fallen hard for the fox-themed cardigan worn throughout by Ryan Gosling's character, Ryland Grace. 

As it happens, WE CAN KNIT THIS! The sweater is based off a vintage Mary Maxim wolf sweater design, which is available online. The movie made some adaptations to honor the urban fox population Gosling fell in love with while filming, but the colorwork chart in the pattern has been updated to match that design. 

ABOUT THE YARN:

Juniper Moon Farm's La Pampa is humanely grown in Argentina and spun from (GOTS) certified fiber. You’ll love knowing that this (100%) organic merino wool is sustainable, non-mulesed and pesticide-free. Hearty and soft, this chunky yarn has a lovely bloom after washing. 

Bulky weight: 131yds/100g skein.

Recommended care: hand wash; lay flat to dry

Sizing information: Finished Chest Sizes (1) 41" (2) 42" (3) 45.5" (4) 47" ...This is a vintage pattern that isn't very size-inclusive, but reach out to me if you are making any adjustments and want to order a larger quantity.

Recommended knitting needle sizes: US 7 and 10 or as needed for gauge (14 st and 20 rows per 4 inches)

IMPORTANT NOTES: 

• This bundle is not available for shipping - only local pick-up at the shop! This is ensure those who are participating in the KAL locally have a chance to get the yarn needed. I'm small and don't have the ability to source larger quantities of this yarn more broadly.
• This is a pre-order. The Knit-along start date and official get-together times are TBD as we work out the details, but I'm collecting pre-orders now to make sure I have yarn on hand for you if you need it and know you want to participate.
• No purchase is required to participate in the KAL when it happens. Mary Maxim also has a kit on their website that comes with the pattern, but it is backordered. Use any yarn you'd like!
